I’m not sure how and why so many trailers for high profile movies are getting leaked before its official release, but just like Batman v. Superman, the new Fantastic Four trailer has been leaked before its officially planned debut. After a couple of hours of the initial leak, Fox has opted to officially release the trailer themselves. The trailer finally gives us our first glimpse of Doctor Doom (played by Toby Kebbell), as well as a much better look at Jamie Bell‘s The Thing. Although the CGI quality still seemed to have not surpassed the first movie (which is more than a decade ago) the new trailer did succeed in finally building anticipation. Will the movie be better than the original? I really hope so.
In addition to the new trailer, Fox has also released a new poster. The photoshop on the faces are so horrendous, it's laughably sad. But, it does give us a good look at how big The Thing will be in the film. For what it's worth, I do favor the new version of The Thing.
Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Toby Kebbell, Tim Blake Nelson, and Reg E. Cathey. It opens in theaters on August 7th.
