Ever wished you could have the convenience of having a washing machine when you go off grid? It’s not a farfetched idea, as you would think. Yirego just came up with Drumi, a compact portable washing machine that can clean around six or seven garments without the need for electricity.
The Drumi measures about 22-inches tall and can easily be stash in the trunk of your car during camping or to be use at home during emergencies. It has a capacity of around five liters of water and can clean a few days worth of clothes by operating it with a foot pump. A single button press can release the valve to drain dirty water at which point the unit becomes a clothes spinner to wring out garments before hanging them to dry.
