It’s been reported that the live-action film adaptation of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's Bakuman manga will premiere on October 3. New visual for the movie has been unveiled showing the film’s lead lead actors Takeru Satoh and Ryunosuke Kamiki which includes art drawn by Takeshi Obata with text that reads "Draw," and "Until you reach the top of Jump."

The film follows Ohba and Obata's original manga about two friends who decide to become manga creators, aiming to serialize their manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
Hitoshi Ōne (Moteki, Koi no Uzu/The Vortex of Love) is helming the film. While, Obata will be directly involved in the production aside from being created as a creator of the film’s concept. In addition, his own art will appear in the film as the various manga that Mashiro draws.
