Influential science fiction manga and anime, Space Adventure Cobra by Buichi Terasawa has been published as a “mook” (magazine book) by SAN-El Bookstore.

The book features an interview with Terasawa, opinion piece by writer Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), illustrations by artist Hirohiko Araki (JoJo's BizarreAdventure) and numerous unreleased Cobra materials.

Space Adventure Cobra tells the story of Cobra, galaxy-trotting ne'er-do-well with a powerful “Psychogun” weapon in his left arm. The manga premiered in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1978. It has since been adapted over the years into two anime TV series, a series of OAVs, and a theatrical film.

The mook contains 115 pages and is on sale now from online retailers such as Amazon Japan for 980 yen ($8.90 US). For those not familiar with the series check out the trailer for the Original TV series below.
