During The Walking Dead season 5 finale, AMC aired a teaser trailer of its companion/spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead.
The upcoming companion series takes place in Los Angeles during the initial outbreak. The fact that this is an original and does not follow the comics makes me very excited. The trailer is short but all you need to know is that this could become as popular as the The Walking Dead.
The cast is led by Kim Dickens (Gone Girl) as a guidance counselor and Cliff Curtis (Sunshine) as a divorced teacher, with Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm) filling out the cast. Dave Erickson serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside The Walking Dead graphic novel creator/series executive producer Robert Kirkman.
